    1. Great 3rd story in the Gladiators series. I was hoping for an HEA but even throughout the whole book, I wasn't sure if I was going to get one. The beginning threw me off a little because of the sudden onslaught of sex but once my heart-rate returned to normal I found myself immersed in the story of my two beautiful gladiators. This book was just as graphic as the others; sexually, emotionally and physically, and involved so much pain but with so much love ready and waiting to counter. I devoured [...]

    2. Before I go into any details, I have to say that this third book of the Gladiator series almost did me in. And I mean this in the best possible sense. If you read my reviews for the first two books you’ll see that volume one really pulled me into this historical world, binding me to the characters and their heartrending desperation. The second volume was emotionally draining because of the depravity of some of the secondary characters. This third one? The words “you ain’t seen nothin’ ye [...]

    3. really loved the first book of the series, but this one became very fast unbelievable. The changes in the characters, Samsons wish to become a gladiator by not believing in Gold, Gold´s need to do everything the Spartans want from him. Since the rescue of Gold in book 2 the quality of the books just spiralled downwards. The author just should have killed him and it would have been a sad but very good series.

    4. I have to admit that this book was subpar to the others but I'm just happy that Samson and Gold/Nicolaus got the ending that they deserved. I felt that it was kind of too easy but I felt as tired as these men when they were used and was very happy for this journey to come to an end. Well written and artistically crafted story

    5. I actually like all M/M stories about gladiators. I enjoy the story so far. Compared to DJ's other Gladiators series, book 3 has the most sex scenes. BUT too bad the sex scenes seem to be written only as word-fillers. The pace is too fast, as if DJ wanted the scenes to be over soon. I don't have time to imagine the scene then suddenly it's over :(

    6. Couldn't put this series down, especially after I read the second book - I just HAD to know what was going to happen to our cast of characters. The switch of fate, yet still a slave plot was well done in this book. Thank you D.J. for really wonderful books.
