    1. This was another great, very clean love story. The main characters in this series are Christian and very modest and virtuous. I've been thrilled to discover this author and read such cute and clean love stories. I look forward to reading more!

    2. I do my reviews in the form of a letter, which is why they are written like this.Dear Robin Jones Gunn, This book actually got a 3.5, but it rounded to 4. Anyways, as usual, I liked this book. I thought it was very sweet and romantic. I remember Teri from Surprise Endings in the Christy Miller series. She's changed so much. She seemed a lot more close to God in that book. In this book, she doesn't really. She seems really far away from God in a sense. She barely even thinks about him. I'll admit [...]

    3. Loved this installment of the Glenbrooke series. This one follows Teri back to Hawaii for a summer with her sister and a chance to rekindle her blossoming romance with Mark. But the summer brings three men into Teri's life, and she learns to trust God with the big decisions. Excellent book! I loved this one. I read it in one sitting. Even though it was written more than a decade ago, it felt very current. Teri is such a sweet, lovable character, I couldn't help but root for her throughout. I wou [...]

    4. Another great book from Robin Jones Gunn not preachy, but a very inspiring Christian message, as well as a tender, and surprising, love story. Add some Hawaiian scenery and some colorful characters, and it's a terrific, easy read.May 2015 re-read, and just as good as ever. I love the way the characters weave in and out of each book, while each one is a complete stand-alone story.

    5. #2 in Glenbrooke Series.Teri Moreno is back in Hawaii visiting her sister & brother-in-law, hoping to rekindle a romance with Mark, a marine biologist, whom she met last year. She also meets Scott, the handsome guy from high school. Then there's the klutzy Australian soon-to-be Pastor with a heart of compassion.Which guys embrace Teri's heart with only 1 arm& who embraces it with 2?#1#3#4#5#6#7#8

    6. I loved the Christie Miller series when I was a kid, so when I stumbled across this book in a bookstore, I got hit with a pretty intense wave of nostalgia. In some ways, I think I am too old for Robin Jones Gunn's books now. They are definitely written for teens. The adult version of me has little patience for a character obsessing about a guy who is clearly trouble, and yet, at the same time, I get it. It can be really stressful to have a picture in your mind of how your life should be, but rea [...]

    7. Good book! I can't wait to read the other books, I liked how even though Chirsty Miller and the Glenbrooke series are two totally different series they still have/mention Christy characters in it Teri, remeber her from Christy's cheerleading team? She is the main character in this book and they talk about Rick Doyle Good book. :)

    8. Ok, I got this at the DI for $1, it was a Christian romance, and very cheesy I might add. I love LDS romance novels because they are cleanbut this was super Christian cheesy. Read it if you must, just expect it to be cheesy. Did I mention it was cheesy?

    9. Great Christian reads! Wonderful for a rainy day read or when you just want to relax and enjoy a good clean book. The great thing about this author is she has LOTS of books published, so you can easily satisfy that familiar urge for "more!" of a good book!

    10. The second book in the Glenbrooke series follows Teri, a character we met in the first book as a Spanish teacher at the Glenbrooke high school. This book is different from the rest of the series in that it is set in Hawaii and not Glenbrooke. It is easy to find that Robin Jones Gunn is in love with Hawaii with how many stories she has set there.Teri travels to Hawaii for summer vacation to spend a few weeks with her sister and with the hopes of rekindling a relationship she had with a man named [...]

    11. After reading the first book in the Glenbrooke Series (Secrets), I was anxious to read the second and with good reason! Just like Robing Jones Gunn made the fictional town in Oregon come to life in Secrets, she made me feel like I was in Hawaii enjoying the smells and local flavor of life. The romantic twists and turns of Teri’s time on the island with the wonderful characters that wre so vivid and lifelike from her words had me smiling, angry, sad and about twenty other emotions. The only issue [...]

    12. There are loads of reasons why I shouldn't like this book, much less love it. The narration tends toward exposition, the supporting cast is two-dimensional, and the love triangle so clearly weighted from the beginning as to be laughable. There's little tension, and the story is forgettable, and to be honest, I could do without the Christian=good, non-Christian=bad subtext. But in spite of all this - perhaps because I first read Whispers when I was twelve, perhaps because I formed an immediate att [...]

    13. Whispers- The Glenbrooke Series, Book 2 by Robin Jones Gunnterry goes to hawaii to visit with her sister and runs into a guy she dated the previous year. hes got a grant to study infant whales, she also discovers an old high school football player who will be working with her brother in lawd another man has an interest in her. see how she juggles all 3 of them for the week she is on the islande woman all rally together in HI when the sister gives birth.

    14. I absolutely adored this book! She struggles throughout the book thinking she knows who might be the right person and doesn't give up her morals when the opportunity presents itself. It was very clean and Christian, sure some parts were kind of cheesy but I couldn't help to be so ecstatic when she made her pick. Really enjoyed this book. :)

    15. This was better than the first book, but obviously the first book insprired this one, as the main character in this book is a secondary character in the first. You wouldnt need to read the first to understand the second. I liked it, but I also like to read books that are based in Hawaii! Nice warm weather, a love story, could you go wrong? Maybe, but this I would recommend.

    16. Rating this re-read is difficult. There were a number of aspects I didn't like (Teri's immaturity, some of the pat religious answers, the changes to Kyle's character from Secrets, some odd grammatical choices), but I'm truthfully such a great BIG sap that I cried several times at some of the sweet interactions between Teri and various other characters.

    17. |Teri Moreno is a Spanish teacher in Glenbrooke and is Jessica's best friend. While visiting her sister in Hawaii she meets Mark and has been writing back and forth for a year. She is now returning to Hawaii hoping that her relationship with Mark has moved up to marriage. While there she also meets Scott and Gordon.

    18. Building on the character from book one, this book develops a plot that is very relatable for all woman who have found themselves tired of the trite responses from well meaning friends to wait on God. But at the same time reinforces WHY waiting on God's timing is so important--because our plans are never what HE plans and his plans are ALWAYS better.

    19. Mrs. Gunn has outdone herself once more. I just got the entire Glenbrooke series, and so far, Teri's tale has been a whirlwind wonder to read. I love the development in the characters, especially Gordon. Love the ending, and I can't wait to finish the rest of the series Robin has to offer!

    20. WhispersI love Robin Jones Gunn's books, and this one is no exception. The Sisterchick series will always remain my favorites, but this book is so good I have to rate it right up there with them. A beautiful love story, it kept me not wanting to put the book down.

    21. good second book to the series, just missed being in glenbrooket much to say about it other than that

    22. This book was sooooo good!!! I thought the first one was amazing, but this one totally topped it.
