    1. This is probably more of a 3.5.I liked the premise. I liked the Russian aspect. That was pretty original to me. I don’t run into a lot of Russian stuff. The writer did a good job of incorporating language, food and historical aspects that helped make it believable. I liked the powers system. It was an integral part of the story.It was part of the character and plot development. The reader discovered the powers as the protagonist did.The characters were a little lacking.
