Why I gave this book just three stars instead of four is because there were several instances in which I wished that Huxley would be more authoritative and less flowery (for lack of a better word). I kept picturing Athena (the spiritual advisor) from Kath & Kim, which made me want to giggle the whole time I was reading!     3. This book is simply one of my top favorites of books for "pre-parents" about prenatal and birth psychology. Laura (who was married to Aldous until his death) passed away recently. She was an amazing woman with myriad impressive achievements in her own right, and this lyrical yet scholarly work reflects her brilliance and passion.
