    1. Honestly I don't know why some of the other reviewers gave this book low stars. It's not what I expected for this genre In a good way. This book was much deeper than I thought it would be and I found myself putting it down occasionally not because it was boring but because it made me think about something in a different way. Cyan and oscars relationship is deep and real and I liked the struggles they went through understanding themselves and each other. The paranormal piece was woven in well. It [...]

    2. Oscar is a popular, yet seemingly normal guy who likes to hang out with his buddies and is studying to get into University. Cyan is completely complex and anything but normal. When Oscar stumbles into Cyan's 'world', his life is forever changed. Oscar must find a way to break through Cyan's tough outer shell and convince her to take him under her wing. There are things in this world that Oscar never knew existed and he's determined to learn more about them and how to kill them. After all, what h [...]

    3. I was so pleasantly surprised with this book! When I initially read the description on amazon, I kind of thought to myself that it could go either way; boring, or brilliantAnd it was brilliant! One of the main successes for me was that, unlike so many other books which focus on the paranormal, 'The Dark Side of Night' was obscure. I don't necessarily mean it like the stereotypical 'we were kept guessing the whole way through!' if you know what I mean, but that we were left in the dark just enoug [...]

    4. I received this book from the author, in exchange for my honest review. So, here goesThe first half of the book was very very slow paced. There were times when I thought that it just wasn't for me, because it felt like it wasn't moving at all. Even though there was plenty of action, I think that some of it was unnecessary. Also, there was too much internal dialogue, flashbacks and information repetition. Some of that could've been edited out, because it wasn't relevant.Lastly, the ending wasn't [...]

    5. Honestly I didn't know what to think of this book from the description. After reading this book, let's just say the description is not much to go off of.I think the cover is completely amazing. There aren't many dull moments throughout the book. There is major action from the beginning of the book and I honestly mean the very beginning to the very end. The book does leave off with unanswered questions, but I felt that that was okay, because of how the story was set up. The book is full of mostly [...]

    6. This is a weird one I really don't mean to say I only liked it but I wasn't affected by it as much as I am by some. It borders on YA and something more murky and undefined.“Are you… are you an angel?” Oscar felt stupid as he said it, but he didn’t know what else to think. She snorted softly and backed away. “You couldn’t be more wrong” (Kindle Locations 630-633).See the rest Characters: 4½ (that basically means I haven't got my dream cast members for the characters as the baddies [...]

    7. The story was engrossing, I enjoyed it the whole way through. The ending was interesting, i hope there will be more in the series as i need to know more! I liked how the story flipped back & forth between Oscar's & Cyan's point of view. It was intriguing seeing what they each thought of certain interactions. Oscar is a very likable character. I liked his interactions with all the other characters, especially between him & Cyan. His feeling's were believable & well written. Cyan i [...]

    8. A really good first novel from this author and quite enjoyable so much so; I am hoping for book 2! When I read this it had a touch of the lost boys feel to it (without the vampires) which I loved.Oscar gets attacked and in the midst of it, someone comes to his rescue. He is unsure of what he has seen and doubts himself but sets out for some answers. When he meets Cyan she is not what he expects. Cool and scary she try's to warn himOff but he keeps coming back for more and eventually a friendship [...]

    9. Wow great job Amanda! As i know i loved it, i think the build up was exciting (i must say i read this in about two days) i couldnt put it down. Im expecting a series from this as not much was revealed, it was fun and strange at the same time. I got so in to the book that i didnt realise the ending came so soon, i was gutted. I like the characters and already planning my own ending in my head to what could happen. Really am looking forward to the next book in the series.

    10. An interesting read. I was hoping for more explanation of what Cyan was but for paranormal it was very different. I did like the fact that the creatures were something I've never read about. There were no weres or vampires or anything fae like I'm used to. But other than that it was a good book, great character development and an interesting story.
