    1. I enjoyed continuing the story from book 1 picks up where book 1 ends and you follow the characters. I enjoyed reading about the hardships that they faced and overcame, and the faith that kept them going. Showing the way life was and how it was dealt with. I enjoy the author and have already purchased the remaining 2 books in the seriesI'm hooked

    2. SurpriseReading the title I was sure it was about horses. But what a happy surprise. Young love , hope and faith. Winning combination.

    3. Brilliant, January 2, 2013By Yvonne Lee (United Kingdom) This review is from: Clothed in Thunder: In the Shadow of the Cedar, Book 2 (Paperback) I really enjoyed Sheila Hollinghead's first book Thundersnow. So I was delighted when given a copy of Clothed in Thunder to read and review. However, this has in no way influenced my review.Normally my favoured genres are fantasy and mystery, but since reading Sheila Hollinghead's books I am now switched on to historical fiction. It was lovely to follow [...]

    4. Picking up exactly where we left off in Thundersnow, Clothed in Thunder teaches us just what became of the cast from the first book. Jay realizes that though she's always loved Michael - did she really know him at all? And what about Drake the Snake? Could he really shed his skin and become a whole different person? This book series is making me change my mind about historical fiction. It reminds me of when someone once told me that I didn't like lamb because I'd never had it prepared right. I gu [...]

    5. Things Keep ChangingI chose to read this book. Because it is the second book in the In the Shadow .of the Cedar . The first was Thunder Snow In the continuing story about young girl . Whose life has been changing so much. That she barely able to breath much less standing on her own two feet. I am impressed with Sheila Hollinghead's writing. I'm pleased that each book in this series is a Kindle Unlimited. Sometimes you have to pay full price for either the first or the last or you can read the fi [...]

    6. Book 2 didn't disappoint.Book 2 took off where book 1 ended. Not as tear jerking, but still a good book. I love the character Jay! The author really gives her depth and let's Jay's feeling flow off the page. Thrilled to see two more books to read in the series.

    7. Another Great Read in this Endearing SeriesThis novel is just as good as the first book. Author Sheila Hollinghead as created living, breathing, characters the reader doesn't want to let go. Her depiction of this time period is excellent, her descriptions vivid. I highly recommend this novel and all the other books in this series.

    8. Sheila Hollinghead writes a great story of a young girl trying to make her way in the world, while working to figure out what's really important in relationships and family. Read full review in February 2013 issue of InD’tale Magazine.

    9. Wonderful Christian BookI really enjoyed reading this book even though it had some really sad parts and some tension. The Lord was the winner in the end. I recommend this book no sexual stuff, thank you. This is a good author.

    10. The second in the series and I enjoyed it. The characters are easy to get familiar with and the story is easy to get involved in. I am ready to get into the 3rd of the series to see how the saga continues.
