One Reply to “Go! Go! Go! Stop!”

    1. OMG the small reader LOVES this book. He loves the word "GO," thanks to "Go, Dog. Go." And this book is full of "cars" doing all sorts of things. The design is so cute and it's really fun to read.

    2. Age: 1-year-old-preschoolThings that go: constructionEmotion: Patience, balance, take your timeEff it, I'm giving it 5 stars. Harper achieves so many things in this highly attractable book. One day, Little Green says his first word: go. Excited to share his word with the world, he bounces inside of an empty stoplight and shouts it for everyone to hear. Waking from their naps (holding adorable things such as a blanket and teddy bear), the construction vehicles wake up and zoom to action. Little G [...]

    3. Cute book to use for a transportation story time. Children will enjoy shouting "GO!" with Little Green and "STOP!" with Little Red.

    4. This was a fun book, and the kids really got into it. You can do go & stop loud & quiet and fast & slow. Great for opposites PLUS it helps teach them about the traffic signals!

    5. Fun to read out loud and got my two year old "reading" the words stop and go when he sees little green or red!

    6. I LOVE THIS BOOK. Mom doesn't, she thinks it is silly, but it is my favorite and I would make her read it 3 times every night if I could. I found it one day on the shelf when mom made me pick out a new book instead of reading the Santa book again. Then for a while every night I ask for "the truck book" and mom tries to tell me this book isn't really about trucks but I don't care. I even slept with it sometimes.I like to yell GO GO GO! and STOP! I can even point at the word GO before mom tells me [...]

    7. This one is great to read at storytime. You can review colors and have the kids help you when you get to the color word. It also has great tie-ins for activities afterward, like freeze dance or Mother May I.

    8. Dammit, it would have been trivial to make some characters other than male. One star because cooperating is good, but come on.

    9. A book that introduces go, stop, and slow down. A little too long for the audience it is aimed for. Would be better for a one on one read aloud.

    10. This story is cute, and it's a great way to explain colors, words, and signs to kids. My son loved this one, mostly because it has cars in it.

    11. This was a cute book using "Stop!" (the red circle) and "Go!" (the green circle). It was fun to read aloud with my toddler.

    12. This book is a good way to introduce the meaning and symbolism of GO and STOP. Read during Preschool Play on September 15th, 2017.

    13. We picked this book up at the library. It is excellent and received multiple reads. Four year old and infant both enjoyed this at the same time.

    14. Meet green who says Go and red who says Stop. A good book for a transportation or colors story class. I liked how the kids can participate in saying Go and Stop throughout the story.

    15. Go and stop. That's about it. It was better for a 2 year old than a 4 year old but he still likes it this time around.

    16. Great illustrations. Sweet story to introduce the red, green, and yellow colors, along with what they mean.

    17. I loved this book. Loved, loved, loved it. Someday I will use it in storytime. It is a perfect example for ECRR-talk. The labelling that is used for lifting, carrying, mixing, scooping, etc is awesome. It's a beautiful vocabulary builder--"towed terrifically," "carried carefully," dumped dependably," "mixed marvelously." I also put this on the "play" shelf because although the trucks are all working, it's a lot of fun and I can picture kids playing this story while reading it. At one point I won [...]

    18. Loved it. In this picture book, readers meet Little Green, who loves the word, GO, and Little Red, who loves the word STOP. Before Little Red showed up, things were lively: very, very lively. A bit out-of-control, and growing more chaotic by the minute. Little Red and his STOP definitely prove their worth in this one. Little Green and Little Red learn to work together to achieve the right balance at this super busy construction site. For little ones who love construction, who love trucks and act [...]

    19. I have been waiting for this book since I read the ARC a few months back. I am so excited it is now available to everyone. I think it's great! Little green learns his first word and practices it at a construction site which, in the beginning, is very helpful. Chaos ensues and to the relief of the trucks little red comes into town with is only word, stop. Little green and little red learn to work together through trial and error and in no time at all their cooperation pays off with a bridge that [...]

    20. This early reader's children's book starts off with a round little main character painted green who is tasked with assisting in the construction of a bridge. When he is a little bit too successful in his position, the builders start getting worried until a red newcomer appears. He represents a red light or stop sign and with the chemistry of the green light, they may or may not be successful in the building of the bridge.I really like the way that this book was illustrated. The minimalism of the [...]

    21. So green only knows ONE word, and that word is GO! And he says it a LOT. And people listen, or at least machines do, and they get a lot done, but the problem is, he doesn't know when to shut up, so all those machines just keep going and going and going. I just wondered how come they couldn't think for themselves. But then here comes red, and HE just says STOP, so between him and green, they work it out.But still, people need to know when to stop without people yelling it at them. You can go all [...]

    22. I nabbed this as soon as we got it in with plans to use it in a transportation storytime--I did it this week because it was Spring Break and I anticipated having some older siblings at my Baby/Toddler storytime.Instead it was super rainy and I had a small crowd of all under-twos! I decided to use it anyway and abridged quite a bit. It went over _pretty_ well but was still a little long. I think I'll keep it for PJ storytime which tends toward a somewhat older crowd--there's enough going on in th [...]

    23. A cute way to teach about "go" and "stop" in traffic as well as in other things. Great for truck and construction vehicle lovers. Wasn't absolutely fabulous, but it made me smile and will find some happy readers.11/6/17 Grabbed this for Movement storytime. Didn't even realize I had read it before! They all loved it.11/6/17-11/9/17 Used in Morningside Elementary visits. Read this to K. Not their favorite. But it was a good opener. And they enjoyed saying "STOP" when he rolled in.2/9/18 Read for B [...]
