    2. *This review and more can be viewed on my blog: The Muses CircleMy Review: I used to read paranormal romance all the time, but like most books these days, it's hard to find novels that stand out in their respective genres. I was immediately intrigued when I read the synopsis for The Other Half by Elaina M. Roberts. A story centered around an annual Human-Other Summit? A budding romance between head Ambassador Michael Zakhara (I like that the blurb didn't give away what kind of "other" he was unt [...]

    3. Rating for this book- 3.75-4.0I received a copy of this book for an honest review.Upon initially reading Ms. Roberts' debut novel, there were some confusing details (I felt that the book was ongoing from a previous book, rather than explaining the world after the Reveal.) There were also some typos (personal pet peeve) that cropped up every fifty pages or so. It took me awhile to digest the book, and I do my best to review a book by rereading it and seeing how it affects me the second time. The s [...]

    4. The Other Half by Elaina Roberts follows Kristiana, who is assigned to act as an unwilling liaison to Michael Zakhara, the head ambassador of a summit working to resolve issues between humans and the other recently revealed supernatural races. Kristiana soon discovers Michael believes she is his mate, but she’s skeptical. She’s had her heart broken by a supernatural and was not too long ago a member of the Human Purity League, a hate group against all Others. But after seeing her sister acce [...]

    5. The story was quite interesting. I haven't read many books about Djinns and was happy to discover how sexy a djinni could be!!! :-). I enjoyed the plot as welle idea of the struggles of our society as "humans" should others ever decide to reveal themselves is quite a powerful message. It looks at prejudices human vs other and other vs human which can easily be translated into racism that continues today. This novel paints a clear picture of what that could look like with all the pitfalls and dan [...]

    6. While reading this book, my mind couldn't figure out which to pursue: the current main story line or the allure of allowing my imagination to wonder on the side stories of the minor characters (Cisco and company, Blake Simmons and the human girl, Andrews and Jenna?).This book was wonderfully written with lots of detail and held my attention despite its length. Roberts has created this entire world of beings with a rich history and understanding that promises more fantastic stories in the future. [...]

    7. It was really really good, I enjoyed a lot about this story my eyes got opened up to a hole new version of the supernatural world. Kris is this strong willed women who ends up finding her Mate the great and dream Michael Zakhara at of course the summit. He has always known that he love Kris from afar, but no him telling her comes to a hole new problems as other issues tend to arise at the summit he becomes over-protective of his Mate and doesn't want her out of his site. Kris is so not OK with t [...]

    8. On Earth where all the inhabitants are a mixture of humans and non-humans, this is the story of Humans co-existing besides non-humans which can take on human form. On the earth each person has a mate for life, who they have to find and their attraction is immediate, they have to find their mate to exist. Kristiania is a human who works as a security guard at a company that is involved with non-humans and that's where she meets Micipsa, a non human. The story follows the tale of their romance, ho [...]

    9. I was provided a copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. The Other Half by Elaina M. Roberts: Where to begin? Humor, action, love and lust, sex and myth The book really had it all. I've found the idea for the storyline to be interesting, the characters are all wonderful! Kris and Michael, Walter and Jenna each character and pair were beautifully written. I did not read anything about this book before starting it and was pleasantly surprised with what I've read. I am eagerly waiting f [...]

    10. having read the "original" i knew what was about to happen, but that didn't mean anything when reading this final version. it already was a good story, now it is a superb story! the drama, heartache, humor, it all feels real and that is what i love about books. her characters speak to you. you simply want to know moreat being said i'l go crack my whip so she'll work on the next installment of this series =)

    11. Definitely a book I enjoyed and I am looking forward to book 2!A great 3.5*** read for me. I more than liked it but I didn't really like it in the way I have some others.I know that Elaina's style is not for everyone but I do/can enjoy the type of book that you feel like starts in the middle and then as you read the back story comes out naturally through the character interaction. As long as the information that I need is delivered in a timely manner and without doing a whole "info dump" I am pl [...]

    12. This is one of the books that I've had for quite some time but never got around to reading until recently despite being friends with the author (sorry Elaina). I didn't really have many expectations going into it, except perhaps that I'd expected there to be a lot more sexy times than there really are. Or at least more explicit sexy times. Not that I'm complaining about that, because I think the balance between explicit and closed door is pretty good here, but it was a bit surprising to me nonet [...]

    13. I first read this book in its unedited version. Since then, due to plagiarism the author took it down and edited it then published it via and iBooks. I purchased my copy first because I really enjoyed the story line. Secondly, it was stated outright that if you purchased the book, you could get the original unedited version for free. Well, never was able to get the free version, no matter how I tried. The storyline is basically the same, yet now reads more like Nora Roberts than a paranormal st [...]

    14. Good read. I had read this when it was posted online and although it has changed quite a bit it's still an amazing story. I love the world that this author creates. I think my biggest disappointment was the hinting at Uruvion and Lysavar being gay. :( I was really hoping that they wouldn't be just in case there was a sequel. I'm not against M/M books they just aren't my thing.
