    1. Diana Cage's text is smart, accurate, accessible, and very queer, but the photographs of this book are not. They all come across to me as straight girls modeling, looking sensually at each other. I know the photographs are a publisher decision, and in some ways I think it's really subversive—it definitely gets queer smarts in front of all those folks who would pick up THIS kind of book, but not a super-queer one.
