    1. Well shitI read this book a while ago and it might have been the most bizzare reading experience I 've ever had. I feel.weird. Like, what the hell happened? To sum it up:Too many characters; I kept forgetting who is who.Chicks with dicks alert. I mean, really? Assassins, ex military, ex CIA guys acting like a bunch of teenage girls? Gossiping and wondering who's into whom?"Full on penetrative sex means I'm truly gay". Can we not do this anymore?Bad editing was bad, almost non-existent. And believ [...]

    2. *** 1.5 Stars ***Not a terrible book, but it's just not to my personal tastes. I'm completely bewildered that a book that is ostensibly about an elite team of covert ops assassins would read so much like a knitting circle of chicks with dicks. *smh* Needless to say, I won't be continuing with this series.

    3. 1 What a lot of bullshit This book was about a bunch of bitches with dicks!!!!I am not exaggerating one bit!!! When I saw the cover I was like Ex Navy, Ex Seal's, Ex Military, Ex army and Ex CIA on a farm in Colorado - I totally thought wow this can work special undetected Unit in the mountains blending in like cowboys - who wouldn't think this was a nice plot????Hot and sexy men all around wowAnd then I started to listen the audio book and my This was the first issue the narrator sounded like a [...]

    4. Well, this book was just Odd? Weird? Strange? When I read the blurb I was really excited about this book. I mean, assassins, cowboys, friends to lovers. Do I need to say more? Unfortunately, the story fell flat.Fierce, strong, the best of the best ex-military men behaving like a bunch of chicks. Well, I don't think even women gossip as much as these men.Too many characters / pairings and none of them really developed. Because of that, there were multiple POVs and the story jumped back and forth. [...]

    5. *** There is so much here to like ! ***Roger is the new team member at Wild Bluff Ranch, Colorado. Grant's former lover, Craig, up and took off, turning his back on the team. These men us the ranch as a front for their elite ops force, and their work is first class. This fierce group of ex-military men, takes out bad people who wreak havoc on the world. Roger fits in right away, and likes Grant. We see other team members, too. Billy loves Tucker and they finally get serious. There is a mission, [...]

    6. For men that are supposed to be the very best of the best ex-military there did not seem to be an Alpha in the house. I seriously expected some super-hot, Alpha, killer cowboys. They did not seem to be ex-military or even cowboys. I struggled a bit with this and just don’t know what I think. My rating keeps wavering. The behavior and descriptions of the men really let me down, they were very sensitive, emotional and timid, not at all what I thought they would be. Then there was the multiple PO [...]

    7. The audiobook narrator, Stan Jenson, did this story zero favors. Easily one of the worst narrators I've ever listened to.

    8. 3,5 stars.Meet the cowboys of Wild Bluff Ranch in the first book of the Colorado Heart Series, Colorado Wild. Hell, yeah…:-)Colorado Wild is about nine men living and working on a ranch. That's just their cover, though. In reality they are handpicked and trained assassins. These men do anything against terrorism, human slavery or any other crime that other agencies can't take care of. They are completely off the radar and operate on their own. The story doesn’t have one main character, but r [...]

    9. I hate giving low ratings. This is MY opinion and I always, always finish a book. Someone has taken the time and trouble to pen a story and I respect the effort. Sometimes though, an editor and a couple of BETA readers help.Too many characters all introduced at once. I had problems remembering who was who and who was with who and who wanted to be with who and who did what to who.exhausting! Initially I'd back-track and re-read, but that just took forever as by that stage I was so bored, I just c [...]

    10. Hey guys, hope you checked out my interview with Sara York. prismbookalliance/2014It was so much fun to talk to her and she revealed some interesting things ;) I have since read book 1 and book 2 (both only .99 cents on amazon right now) of her Colorado Wild series and wanted to share my thoughts with you guys *g*This review and many other reviews by me and my friends (as well as many giveaways) can be found on prismbookalliance*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*The Facts: Colorado Wild was published September 2 [...]

    11. This book was horrible. I don't understand the 5 stars others gave. The idea of the story is great, but the writing jumped around. I didn't know who was "talking" a lot of the time. There was No Editing done on this book either. Which always ruins the experience for me. How can I get lost in a book when I keep tripping over misspelling and bad sentence structure. The book starts with Grant and Roger and builds a base for them, then jumps over to Billy and Tucker and stays there. Grant and Roger [...]

    12. This book is a little hard for me to review and rate. When I started reading, it seemed like the book was going to be about Grant and Roger and to some extent it was, but then the story changed to be Billy and Tucker and in between there were the others who were at the Ranch and it all sort of jumbled together. I think a lot has to do with this being the first in the series and the author trying to establish each of the characters, but by the end of it I was confused as to who was who, which cha [...]

    13. 2.5 AUDIBLY DISAPPOINTING STARS!Okay in my opinion this book should be read and not be listened to. The story and the promise of a good series is there however the narrator didn't suit this book and it was only the storyline that kept me hanging by a thread to the end. I've listened to this narrator before and he was fine but with this book his voices came over like characters from Sesame Street and at one point I was sure I heard Grover, Burt and Ernie make an appearance. As the story centres a [...]

    15. Make sure you check out the book trailer! Colorado Wild Book TrailerWild Bluff Ranch is full of strong, tough and gorgeous military types, handpicked to form part of an elite and secret organisation. They take on missions to rid the world of the bad guys, missions that bypass ordinarily rules and go under the radar of the usual government organisations.I loved the action and the multiple characters with a couple of relationships simmering at the same time. Billy and Tucker had a nice story - not [...]

They lived at Wild Bluff Ranch where they are part-time cowboys and the rest of the time they are assassins working for the government no one knows about their jobs. But this group are not only best friends but love is in the air.Billy Bradford and Tucker Hayes are best friends and the [...]

    17. This novel is intense on many different levels. York combines heart wrenching moments with heart-warming ones to create situations that you can not only imagine but that capture your heart and soul. She also stacks her story full of a bunch of steamy alpha males who are also cowboys, which doesn’t hurt at all. York’s descriptions are straightforward and masculine, allowing her readers to see the world through the eyes of her brilliant cast. I really like how this story doesn’t have a main [...]

    18. The writing style is different. Took me a bit to get used to it. There was a lot going on and the editing was rough. I liked the premise but there wasn't much story building with the whys and hows for such a secret group to come about with or without government knowledge. Then one of the couples got together and it devolved into sugary goo that was enough to give me a tooth ache. The other couple are in the wings apparently waiting out till the next book? I would like to say I will be on the loo [...]

    19. I received this through the author in for a honest opinion.Scooby dooby doos this book will have you wanting more. Billy is so amazing with Tucker. His secret crush not so secret now and as he eases Tucker into feeling safe with his sexuality you want to cry and be so happy for the two. Billy is perfect for tucker. Frankly I think Marshal is in the closet but that's just me. So Grant poor poor Grant. he was in a relationship he thought was built on trust, respect and love and finds out he was b [...]

    20. I had just finished reading the Texas Soul series when I heard that this series was being released. Grant was introduced in the final book in the series, pulling me into this book. I mean, a ranch full of sexy cowboy assassins? Yes please.I must say that this book was a lot different than I thought it would be. The writing style was much more smooth than that of the Texas Soul series. I enjoyed the duality of the characters: sweet and deadly. Who could resist? Tucker and Billy were relatable and [...]

    21. I'm sorry, I must have gone into this with misconceptions. I was under the impression that the characters in this book were highly trained, professional operatives who participate in a little steamy guy-on-guy action every now and then. I didn't realize I'd be tuning into a gay version of Days of our Lives with a half-assed attempt at spy games.

    22. 3.5 starsI had a bit of trouble following the perspectives switching between characters, but after a bit I was able to keep up.I really enjoyed Grant and all the characters, Billy and Tucker especially melted my heart for them.I think I will continue with this series.

    23. Audiobook reviewDNF around 20%Wow, that was a wasted hour of my life. There was absolutely nothing redeemable with this book. The plot and characters were horrendous. It read more like teen-wannabes than alpha male soldiers. And the plot was ridiculous beyond belief. So nothing worthwhile there. In some cases a great narration can save a bad book, but in this case the narration made it even worse. He sounded bored to the max and had the worst voices for the different characters.Skip this book, y [...]

    24. Sometimes I think the scenarios that authors dream up would probably be a good thing to implement to get justice done. Wild Bluff Ranch in Colorado is home to ex-military recruited by the CIA to complete missions even the president doesn't know about. They eliminate the criminals that can't be captured any other way. These guys are completely off the radar and operate on their own with no government assistance to muck anything up. The man in charge is Duff, a retired three star general in the Ma [...]

    25. 1.5Wow, um, wow. That's about the most coherent thought I can manage on this book. It's totally illogical, overblown and unfocused. I mean, despite what the blurb suggests, it doesn't even have a main character. What do you do with a book that doesn't have a main character or couple? What do you do? (As an aside, that blurb is totally inaccurate anyway.) There's no plot. The characters do everything from pine for one another to assassinations to buy a horse that randomly gets bitten by a snake. [...]

    26. Disclaimer: I picked this up as a free-read on . I was very disappointed in this one for several reasons including:1) Disjointed storyline - It starts off focusing on Grant and Roger, that's where the story seems to be the most logical and interesting, but then, a couple of chapters in, the author changes her mind and decides that this is all about Billy and Tucker. At one point, however, the POV switches to James and Marshall. By the end of this, you don't know whether you are coming or going, [...]

    27. This was not a bad book but neither was it a good one. I will be honest, it took me almost an hour to get use to the narration. The vocal inflections almost reached the degree of screeching on a chalkboard for me. The voice of Billy was horrid (in my opinion) and it seemed that the narrator confused the inflections a number of times. The story was all over the place, making it difficult to understand the premise behind the story. When the story first began, with the introduction of Ray into the [...]

    28. This series has great potential but just doesn't live up to its premise. The editing is bad ranging from sentence structure to content, like both men being nekkid and then one suddenly wearing jeans in the embrace. Then there is a decidedly lack of relationship focus in the story where too many POV shifts occur. Finally, the men are like teenage girl drama queens with the "sweetie" and rubbing of backs and cuddling on couches; sorry to be crude but this is a classic case of chicks with dicks her [...]

    29. So, I'm making a wedding cake right? I decided that maybe I'll try my first audio book. So I picked this one. Well, I learned that I could listen to an entire book and tune it out without the slightest idea of what in the heck it was about. So I just ended up buying the book so I could read it. And here I am. I finished it. I am kinda surprised that I liked it so much. Normally, the soap opera type of 6 different relationships intertwining between the books just doesn't work. But this one sucked [...]
