    2. I received a signed copy as a first reads giveaway. Is like to thank the author Mary Hanks and the publisher for the opportunity to read it. This is a well written and interesting tale of Shem and TJ's adventures in medieval England. The two start as rivals and finish as friends. It was interesting and enjoyable. There is a deeper meaning beneath the surface - The Golden Rule. But that doesn't overwhelm the story telling. I recommend it to all readers, not just middle grade readers. Personally, [...]
