    2. What a wonderful and beautiful book! This is a gem that will be enjoyed by anyone who loves birds. Even if you're not a bird lover, you will be amazed at the behaviors and intelligence of these remarkable creatures. Humans take note: we are not nearly as much smarter than animals as we think we are. The author does a magnificent job of describing the mating, feeding, nurturing young, migrating, etc. of birds from all over the world. Amazing! Beautiful pictures too!

Extrapolate the unique attributes of the birds covered here and the realization of how amazing birds are will exceed our feeble imaginations. Gorgeous photography, a wry but informative writing style, and sheer wonder at how awesome birds are are just three of the reasons you're going out to get this now.

    4. Dominic Couzens is a prolific writer who has published tens of books on birds and birding in addition to his magazine work, but Tales of Remarkable Birds is the first of his titles that I have read. If it’s representative, I can definitely see why he’s such a popular author. Read more
