    1. This review originally appears on the blog bookcrush on 1/28/14, & an eARC was provided to me in exchange for an honest review.Michelle Grey is honest in her journey. She doesn’t hold back and bares it all. She was strong and she made decisions that we all can relate to no matter what circumstance you substitute for cancer. Her story is inspiring and positive. It was an easy read and I hope you all are able to take something away from this, hopefully to always get preventative care.Michell [...]

    2. Check out my other reviews at:mommyslatenightbookupfacebook/MommysLateNiThis is not just any book. This is a book about a woman's life. That woman is Michelle Grey. Michelle explains to us to listen to our bodies. If something doesn't feel right, get it checked out. That's what happened to Michelle. Michelle will give you her story. You will read what she wrote in her journal as she was finding information to what she was feeling.Michelle gives it to us from when she found out about her mass. Un [...]

    3. What do you do when you think you may be ill? What do you do when you know for sure? What do you do when hear you have cancer? What do you do when you already know Ovarian Cancer as a killer in your family? And how do you face each day wondering how and if you will survive?Hopefully you will be lucky enough to find someone who has been through this and shared a personal journal such as Are You Listening by Michelle Grey. This mini-memoir is positive, but truthful affirmation about trusting your convi [...]

    4. Reviewed first on my blog: alexiaepurdy/2014This was definitely a very interesting novella about the author’s experience with ovarian cancer and is quite different from what I usually read. It’s told in memoir style, like you’re reading her journal as she goes from suspicion of something wrong going on with her body, to the dreadful diagnoses, to a very hopeful ending. It left me in awe of how strong she can be and thankful that she decided to put her experience in writing so that others m [...]

    5. As this is a true story, the story of Michelle's battle with Cancer, it was an eye opener. I don't normally read these kind of books; true stories, memoirs, etc. But this story is definelty something all women should read.I did tear up, hey this is a very emotional subject. The author was kind enough to not go all crazy with the medical terms. She it that simple, when it came to terms. Michelle was brave enough to document her process through this ordeal, and brave beyond words to share it with [...]

    6. *This Book Was Given To Me By The Author In Exchange For An Honest Review*"Cancer. Six letters. One little word."That sentence hit me harder I think than any other in this remarkable and honest journey that the author shares with us. A journal that spans from the decision to go to the doctor, through the diagnosis and the surgery, complete with author's notes added in afterwards really let you experience as close to first hand without it being you.It makes you ask questions nobody really wants t [...]

    7. Ok, so I'm really not a reader of non-fiction, but I'm a woman, and I consider Michelle to be a friend and wanted to help her get her message out.I don't really know what I was expecting from this short selection of journal entries, written during the diagnosis and treatment of Michelle's cancer. Something sad? A little depressing? Well that was totally not the case.I found this to be a very quick, hugely positive and immensely informative read. Michelle is brutally honest and I have a new respe [...]

    8. This is one of those rare finds that makes you stop and think, and then stays with you for a long time after. Michelle Grey's story, her private words, and the courage and positivity she held while going through diagnosis and treatment for ovarian cancer made an impact on me. It made me more aware of my own body. I'm listening now.

    9. As a cancer survivor, I felt a deep appreciation for this author's struggles, fears, and ultimate victory. Even for those who have never dealt with cancer, this is a great window into the world that someone you know and love is battling right now.

    10. What an emotional accounting of a very private and terrifying battle! How courageous you are to share your experience with others! Thank you
