    1. 12/16/14 - Now Available! This review can also be found at Carole's Random Life.4 Stars! It is amazing how much action is packed into this novella. It is non-stopd I loved it. I am not sure that everything would have worked like it did in the story in real life but who cares. This story is so much fun. This story had everything a romantic suspense should have - wonderful characters, lots of action, tons of chemistry, and even a few laughs. Ward finds himself zip tied to chair at the beginning of t [...]

    2. I liked the funny banter between Ford and Ward, and Ford and Tasha. Basically, I really liked Ford - who was not the hero, mind you - and the fact that a secondary character made a stronger impression on me than the main characters told me that something wasn't exactly right in this story. Not that Ward and Tasha, the H/h, were "bad". I liked them too, but Ford stole the scene, so to speak. All in all, this was an okay read packed with action scenes, which was nice, but not enough time to develop [...]

    3. Running Hot was an action packed novella with enough sexual chemistry to burn up the pages. I recommend this awesome little book to anyone who adores romantic suspense and Jason Statham movies! Tasha and Ward are two characters I would have loved to spend more time with and hope I see more of them throughout the series.*Sexual content, graphic violence, and awesome combat scenes*

    4. Good introduction to the Bad Boys Undercover series and how The Alliance got started. It starts with Ward regaining consciousness after a date with the sexy bartender he's been trying to charm all week. She has morphed from hot bartender to badass woman, and he's scrambling trying to figure out what is going on. I loved their confrontation, as he tries to maintain his cover, and she tries to get him to come clean. Ward isn't totally helpless, and uses his own skills to escape his bonds, but even [...]

    5. Finally got around to readings this. Took me long enough to finish I really need to stop starting a gazillion books.So. First I have to say, I wish I would have liked this better. It does have potential. It could be good. But sadly I didn't. I got a few issues with it, in fact, I was so gonna DNF at 35%, but decided to just read another chapter, which thankfully I did. It got better quite a bit better. Now after finishing, I keep reflecting on what I didn't like, trying to point out what would h [...]

    6. Hot, Hot, Hot - Action Packed - Strike Back love! Wish it had been longer though. That's the thing about novellas, just not long enough. Ward Bennett is CIA undercover on the island of Fiji, and whereas he’d much rather be enjoying all the delights the tropical scenery can afford plus the luscious sexual delights of the bartender he’s been schmoozing the past few days, waking up tied to a chair with a splitting headache wasn’t in his plans. Discovering the beautiful bartender isn’t what [...]

    7. Running Hot is filled with non-stop action that continues right through until the last chapter. It had me sucked in from the first page and I didn't put it down until I finished!I love a badass heroine and Tasha is definitely badass! In the first scene we get to watch her take down our hero, Ward, not once but twice. And the kicker? He thinks she's that much hotter for doing it. Ward is CIA and Tasha is MI6 and they're both in Fiji to take down the same bad guy. Of course they decide to team up [...]

    8. A Smart-Mouthed M16 Agent and a Sexy as Sin CIA agent come together in an Explosive prequel to the Upcoming Bad Boys Undercover series by HelenKay Dimon.Fast Paced and FunI found the banter between Ward and Tasha humorous and best kind of foreplay. While working together to save Fiji from a madman with a deadly missile, Ward and Tasha spark a connection that begins with easy flirtation for Ward to gain intel, to an all out combustion of lust fueled sex.oh yeah!Fantastic start to what is teaming [...]

    9. This was a pretty good start to a new series. If I had one complaint it is how both Wade and Tasha let sex fog their brains at times, something I find a hard time swallowing as they are elite spies. I did like how they were able to work together and bring down the bad guy. I really like how things ended with them building a new agency, it should bring about all sorts of new fun for future books.

    10. Great start to a new series. I've always loved HKD, and a super excited to see where this series goes next!B+

    11. Outstanding start to this series!!! Great suspense and characters. And Tasha is one bad ass and really set the tone for the story. Looking forward to the next book!

    14. CIA agent Ward Bennett is undercover in Fiji tracking down a dictator, who fled there with an arsenal of Stinger missiles. That doesn’t keep Ward from noticing the sexy bartender at his resort. When Tasha Gregory, an undercover MI6 agent, discovers Ward snooping in her purse, she kidnaps him to find out what he knows. Once they discover that they are both agents undercover, they form an unlikely partnership with one goal in mind: prevent the crazy dictator from disturbing the peace in this qui [...]

    15. 3.5 Stars. Running Hot is the Prequel to HelenKay Dimon's new Bad Boys Undercover Series. It's a quick read at about 200 pages. I enjoyed the story but my favorite part was the banter between Ward and Ford and Ford and Tasha. The only problem with that is that Ford is not the main character for this book.Ward is a CIA agent who is in Fiji to find a terrorist who has made off with a bunch of US weapons. He's been flirting with a bartender to get information from her but wakes up tied to a chair w [...]

    16. Avon welcomes HelenKay Dimon and her latest series to the team, and this Avon Addict couldn't be more excited. The blurbs pulled me in. I love Romance, but I am a sucker for some suspense - so I dove into the novella, Running Hot with excitement. Ms. Dimon did not disappoint, and I think she has a winning series on her hands with Bad Boys Undercover. Who doesn't love the alpha male? When you have him a part of this testosterone filled Black Ops team - that is the icing on the cupcake. Ward and h [...]

    17. What's better than a Bad Boy? A Bad Boy and a woman strong enough to meet him toe to toe. Our first introduction to Ward is as he is waking up in Fiji, tied to a chair in a little shack. He had thought he was heading off with Tasha the hottie bartender for a little naughty nookie time, when she catches him going through her purse and gets suspicious of his actions. Turns out she has every right to be. Needless to say, Tasha gets the drop on him and boy is he unhappy about that.Ward is CIA and Ta [...]

    18. Posted on What I'm ReadingFirst off, Running Hot is a pretty good intro the Bad Boys Undercover. In this story we meet Ward Bennett and Tasha Gregory who are both undercover agents, and they both want the same guy. Well, Tasha doesn't want to work with Ward cause she doesn't want to share credit or worse he takes all the credit. So, throughout the story we have these two fighting there attraction while trying to accomplish the mission. Both of them are extremely stubborn. Ward tends to ooze off [...]

    19. Oh, my goodness. I had so much fun reading Running Hot. From the moment I started it to the very end It freaking rocked! The suspense had me on the edge of my seat. The sizzling hot chemistry between Ward and Tasha had me fanning myself. And the hilarious banter between Tasha and both Ward and Ford had me in tears. I loved this novella! The fast pace was perfect. It was the perfect length for an introduction into the Bad Boys Undercover series. An amuse-bouche, if you will. The characters were f [...]

    20. Holy hotness! What a way to start off a new series! HelenKay kicked this one hard and I absolutely LOVED it!Ward wakes up strapped to a chair and wondering what the hell happened as the last thing he remembers is getting it on with the hot bartender. Next thing he knows he is face to face with Tasha and the one thing he knows for sure is that this woman is more than a bartender. She is holding a gun on him and wants to know who he is as she knows he isn't a finance guy on vacation. Turns out the [...]

    21. A really great introduction to the new Bad Boys Undercover series from HelenKay Dimon. Ward is in the Fiji jungle trying to track down missing weapons and a man intent on starting a war. As a CIA agent he’s known for keeping a cool head and staying on target. But meeting sexy bartender Tasha throws him for a loop. Especially when it turns out there’s more to her than meets the eye. MI6 agent Tasha has the same goal as Ward but used to colleagues distrusting her because she’s a woman keeps [...]

    22. 3.5* out of five starsI was intrigued when I read the synopsis and extract from this (I think on Kindles and Wine) in which the hero, Ward, is a CIA operative undercover and the heroine, Tasha, is an MI6 agent, also undercover. She manages to knock him out and tie him to a chair TWICE. It seemed to have a kick-ass heroine and humour so I bit the bullet (so to speak) and paid money for an unknown (to me) author AND a novella to boot.I have to say the author made a very valiant attempt to stop War [...]

    23. Running Hot by HelenKay Dimon was a great one to introduce me to the Bad Boys Undercover series! This book tell us how Ward and Tasha met (with some fun Ford in there as well) and really shows the tone of Dimon's writing and what kickass characters she writes. I am already hooked on this series and can't wait to read through them all. Ward and Ford are in Fiji for the CIA and Tasha is there for MI6 - both after the same target. They stumble upon each other and the most entertaining fashion (for [...]

    24. I really enjoyed the first half of the book. The setup was fun, the characters intriguing, the writing was great, and the snarky banter had me laughing out loud. But then the author lost focus. The plot stalled, the dialogue became forced and the characters started behaving in unbelievable ways. It is tough to balance tense situations with people having carnal thoughts but the author made it work up until a point. But then they rushed straight into feelings that had no basis and instead of being [...]

    25. The conversations these two had were interesting and sometimes at the wrong times: “We’re not having sex.” The words shot out before she could stop them. “Well, not here.” He glanced around the hard ground. “That would be stupid.”Ward he doesn't mince his words, "he blew out a long staggered breath. “Thank God, because right now my body is in a race to see what will explode first, my brain or my d***." He also has no problems telling his woman what he wants, “then I think you s [...]

    26. Action and romance combine with a bit of humor to make Running Hot an enjoyable and fun read. Although he was not a main character, Ford stood out and was very funny. I read Playing Dirty before I found out there was a prequel, and as far as reading order goes, it didn't seem to make a difference. I really liked Playing Dirty (four stars), but didn't quite get into Running Hot as much, I think because it was so short. There's less character development, an uncomplicated story line, and not much [...]

    27. Running Hot is the prequel to the Bad Boys Undercover series. I've read the other books in the series so far and have loved them. This book suffers from the same problem as all novellas; it's just too short. There just wasn't time to develop the characters or the plot. It did help that I was aware of the characters from the other books in the series. The origin of "The Alliance" is explained along with how Tasha became its head as well as how Ward lost the use of much of his right hand. A good s [...]

    28. Ward is CIA and Tasha is MI6. They are both working the same op, but for different countries. Ward has met his match in Tasha, she is efficient in every way. Sparks fly between the two of them and in their own way they learn to work together to get the bad guy.I had never read anything by this author before and I wasn't disappointed with this one. I thought I would read her novella and if I liked it I'd read her other works. I definitely plan on reading more!

    29. Great start to what promises to be an awesome new series! Ward and Tasha have great chemistry whether they are engaged in banter or burning up the pages. Considering the short length of the book, the story did not feel rushed. Humor, action and romance blend together for a thoroughly enjoyable read. I can't wait to see who Ford is paired up with in the next book. I hope Ward and Tasha give him a taste of his own medicine.eARC via Edelweiss in exchange for an honest review.
