    1. Here is my beef:These two people meet and spend one night--No, not even a whole nightIt was like 4 hours together and for the next THOUSAND years the chick sacrifices life after life, getting brutally murdered in each, to return to him.I know I am cynical so I'll let the 'love at first sight/fornication' thing pass, but after about the 9th time don't you think you would at least check out eharmony? And if I were the dude, after spending 1,000 years trapped in stone and coming back to life to your [...]

    2. This book was really good. This is about Kalyss and Dreux. They were put under a curse in the year of 1075AD by a very vindictive woman who uses her son to do her dirty work. This curse puts Dreux in stasis or rock hard like a gargoyle for 1 thousand years. Kalyss is doomed to die every hundred years if she does not find him, Dreux, and to break the curse she has to kiss him. They had been married for all of 1 night when Dreux was cursed and Kalyss was killed for the 1st time. In the book it goe [...]

    3. Picked this up for 4 bucks at Kmart. Great bargain. Many things that should have bugged me didn't and I'm left sad that the series is only two books long. This book has curses, angels, fallen angels, nephlim and secret abilities that are thought out which is always awesome (imo). It also has insta-love, reincarnation, betrayal, guilt, and an accusing heroine. That's less awesome, and difficult to redeem.Dreux and Kaylss (she had a different name back then but I'm gonna go with her current incarnati [...]

    4. I liked this one a lot, and I'm not usually wild about reincarnation stories. This one has a twist, though. The hero's been trapped in stone, but awake and aware of everything the whole time. The heroine must free him, but every time she gets close, the villain --who is the hero's half-brother-- shows up and kills her. And every time, she's born in a new body and has to try again. She has a sidekick, who gets killed a lot and comes back, but he just recovers from his death, rather than having to [...]

    5. Ok. Let me start by saying it took me months to get past the first 7ish chapters because they were brutally boring. But after that initial slow start, I have to say I fell in love. I honestly did. No, I don't particularly like that they spent 10 lifetimes to try and get back what they had for HOURS, but they were soul mates and just HAD to be together. What's wrong with that? To each his own. This book is beautifully written and every word on the page has a meaning and relates to the story. I ha [...]

    6. Lalyss's keep was overtaken by the King's overlord and she was forced to marry him. The first day she met Dreux he had killed numerous persons in her village and she's terrified he's going to kill her too. They spend one night together (to consummate the marriage) before all hell breaks loose again, and again, and again.I had a very hard time getting into this book as it was just plain boring. It finally picks up about 3/4 of the way through and ends strong. Great conclusion to this book but the [...]

    7. This was a short story/novella gone on way too long. Also, I'm really sick of the abused gal who ever so bravely learns to open up and love and f**k like a champ. To be fair, the concept behind this novel was really cool. The execution was a bit confusing, jumping about within 1000 years from different reincarnations and meetings, seemingly without reason for the scattered chronology. If the female protagonist had been more interesting and the story better developed and organized, it would have [...]

    8. I was confused when reading the prologue, but kept reading hoping that things would clear up in the main story. Read another 20 pages and things didn't get any more clear and I didn't care for what I was reading either. In the end this one just wasn't for me.

    9. 4.5 stars. I would, have given 5, but the beginning was pretty slow and the story development was a little late. Once the story got going, it was really great. I got sucked in and could not put the book down.

    10. This one is just to confusing, present day, long ago, longer ago. People are alive no wait they are dead. By the time I got to page 50 I decided I did not care.

    11. Ugh. Long, drawn out, and sometimes depressing, this is nothing like what I was expecting. Can't believe I finished it

    12. LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE THIS BOOK!!! XDXD After I read it, I went looking to see if Ms. Hansen had written any other books, and this was the only one I found. T-T I was -- AM -- very sad about this.
