    1. This is a lovely book, very similar to Janette Oak's books. If you loved Quail Crossings, you'll love finding out how the characters' lives progressed once the dust bowl was over. One recommendation - read Quail Crossings first. Although Return to Quail Crossings is a good stand alone book - it's even better if you read the first.

    2. I was so happy to see the return of the characters from Quail Crossings. It is like they are part of my own family. I am excited to see the story continue with the next book. I recommend this book to readers of all ages.

    3. The narration was spot on, it made this book so easy to listen to that I almost forgot that I needed to go to sleep. There are a couple of mistakes that weren't edited out so the audio repeats briefly a couple of times but they're short and don't have much impact. The flow of the narration is great with goof pacing and phrasing. The character voices all come out really well and you can tell who is talking from the voice. The story is excellent, it seems very realistic and the characters are all w [...]

    4. Still love these books. There is always an unusual twist to make you want to read the next one. It is a quick uplifting read.

    5. Sequel to Quail Crossings. Evelyn returns home to Quail Crossings from Hollywood with a baby. She meets Robert Smith on the bus on the way home and he convinces her that they should get married to protect her reputation and make the babies life easier. It would be a strict marriage of convenience with no strings attached. Evelyn finally agrees to Roberts terms and they marry. Although she had been a real trouble maker as a teen, Evalyn proves to be a hard worker and tries to turn their ramshackl [...]

    6. Another amazing readThis has been the most amazing series. Love, hate, hurt and heartache. You feel all of these when you read this book! I sure hope there are more to come in this series!

    7. Return to Quail Crossings is one of the best books I have read in a very, long time. I was captured on the first page and still have not been released from its spell. The characters are positively vibrant. The setting is clear and vivid. I especially love how the story remained fixed in my mind when I was not reading it. It pulled on me until I got back in to read more of the book. I love that it is part of a series but did not rely on my having read the first book to get caught up on what was g [...]

    8. In Return to Quail Crossing, Author Jennifer McMurrain reunites us with the characters that we grew to love in her first book in this series, Quail Crossing. You will love the way the family and friends of this small community strive to survive and help each other when things get bad. Filled with adventure and trials sliced together with lots of love you won't be able to put this book down. I can't wait to read the third book in this series.

    9. An easy readI liked this book and the first one because there was nothing objectionable in it. No swearing, illicit sex, bad language and very little violence. I gave it a four star rating because it needed more careful proofreading. All in all it was a good read.
