    1. Oh my god… I feel so strange right now. I really do. My limbs are all tense and I can still feel the chills that ran through my body while reading this DISTURBING and as DARK as they come yaoi manga. I’ve waited so long for this – for the right moment to plunge into it – and I’m unsure of what to make of this story now that I’ve seen what it is about. Is it captivating? Yes.Is it intense? Hell yes.Did I love it? Hell no; it freaked me out. Hell yes; it was amazing.I’m not even sure [...]

    2. **Ordering details below** Look what the mailman dragged in today! My copy. Aaaghgh! It finally arrived. Can I lick it?YES I CAN!So I suppose it's a good thing that I got impatient and tracked down another copy, because it took forever for this one to be shipped to me. The other one I swear I will not lick. I'm going to post a few phone snapshots in a bit, but let me tell you this first: It's like In These Words was created especially for me. The art is super-gorgeous, never sloppy. The story it [...]

    4. Mind fuck? Check.Rape? Check.Violent torture? Check.Sociopathic serial killer? Check.Made me adjust my pants every chapter? Check x 5At the end? I wanted to cry, because the second volume hasn't been released yet. :-(

    5. Meet my latest obsessionA few years ago Nikyta introduced me to yaoi, and since then I've read a few here and there, along with some other styles of graphic art stories.cially the webcomic Teahouse (now that's another obsession of a different color). Then one day I was scrolling through all of the amazing photography "art" on Tumblr *cough*, and came across the cover art for In These Words and thought to myself, “Hmm, this is pretty!” And next thing I knew, I had read Chapter 1 (twice) on Ko [...]

    6. I bought the doujinshi one episode (1-7)at a time and I think if you can grab them, you should. The qualty of the printing and the cover textures are sinfully amazing. Now as for the storyline, holy crappola! I like dark and tangy, with a dash of Frank's red hot sauce but this has all the fixings that a dark minded gal like me loves. You have an beautiful intellectual uke, Katsuya Asano who is brought into the picture by the police to get a suspected serial killer to confess. The killer, charism [...]

    7. This is a beautifully and well written manga. If you are looking for something more adult in the yaoi genre, this is the best. Very tightly written, with a good mystery wrap around some very attractive characters. This gets high marks and is great with multiple reads.

    8. Found the book and it's a hard, intense and adult Yaoi book :-) love to read this book, a dark yaoi like view finder :-) a long time I have read a amazing yaoi book and it is a same lvl like the mangaka Youka Nitta and view finder :-D xx This intense brutal, violent and very dark. You will find that you get over your limits, out of your comfort zone. This is psychological warfare, who is the strongest physically and mentally, the psychiatrist has profiles and to obtain serial killer to talk about [...]

    10. Damn, I wish life was like the music video Take on Me.(That’s me and Katsuya by the way, soon he will break out to be with meee!)The story in the first five chapters is chilling, brutal, awesome and addictive; A mass-murderer demanding to speak to one person only, the Psychiatrist and profiler that helped capture him. Now doesn’t that sound like a juicy premise! It is like watching an especially deviant psychological thriller (with a lot of non-con thrown in). The pictures are very graphic, [...]

    11. From the synopsis, I expected this to be a dark story: a serial killer is willing to talk, but only to the police psychiatrist who helped orchestrate his capture. What I didn’t expect was the violent sexual imagery (since it’s listed as yaoi, I had anticipated Asano having a lover & romance outside the case). The book opens with a prose prologue, which is unusual in manga/yaoi. However, it was an excellent tool to give the reader background to set the stage. Soon after he agrees to inter [...]

    13. Katsuya Asano is a psychologist who is called in by the police to interview a serial killer they've captured. During this process he begins having nightmares and flashbacks about his own possible abduction. While he tries to deal with the images invading his mind, he also has to deal with the serial killer who starts to take a particular interest in him.Asano presents himself as a silent, strong character who deals with some of the darkest minds and personalities along with some of the most stub [...]

    14. This manga totally changed my mind. I loved this way more than the other ones I have read. I almost gave up on mangas until I stumbled upon this one. It’s a crime/thriller manga and totally nuts. TW: rape, death, kidnapping, murder

    15. Reread 2/10/2015If I look at my rating for each chapter it would be a 4 star read. But only since each taken for itself is just so short. As a whole I keep it 5 stars. The drawings are awesome! I figure it's difficult to draw so expressive.Since it's just the beginning of a very complex story there are many mysteries discovered but as good as nothing solved. To be honest, if I wouldn't have bought the whole volume 1 which includes chapter 1-5 and had to purchase it over the webpage of Guilt Pleasu [...]

    16. First of all, let me gloat about the edition that I'm holding in my hands right now:A few years ago, the German publishing house of Tokyopop had the genius idea of publishing certain works as "Perfect Editions", which are hard cover editions of the works with a bigger format and color pages inside. Now, to why I am so happy I just spent 15€ on a two-hundred page manga:In These Words is awesome!Sure, this is just the first volume and it's pretty hazy in what's to come (and even what happened!), [...]

    17. The best yaoi mange I have read in two years. The artwork was stunning, the plot line with developing characters worth of attention. The one and only bad thing that it is the first volume and I want the secondwNOW!Asano Katsuya was a psychiatrist with foreign experience who was recruited by Tokyo Police Department to do some profiling job trough the recant serial killer victim data and to squeeze confession from Shinohara Keiji, who had some history of murders with little sadistic traits. Shinoh [...]

    19. HmmmHow should I say thisThis book is intense, dark and very encompassing that will never let go once it has a firm grip on you. I scarcely remembered the time when I started reading homosexual graphic novels/comics. At first, it was utterly mortifying. I felt disgusted by it (I'm not even going to lie). I can't even remember the title of that book but it was weird. The whim and the curiosity that urged me to read "yaoi" (japanese term for m/m relationship) was what fueled me to try and read one [...]

    20. Another manga borrowed from Kati :-)!Asano Katsuya is a highly trained psychiatrist who plays a crucial part in the capture a serial killer, Shinohara Keiji, who likes to torture his victims for weeks before finally killing them. The case doesn't end there, however, as Shinohara will only give his confession to Asano. At the same time Asano starts to have nightmares about being captured and sexually tortured by Shinohara.Warning! This is a very dark tale with graphic depictions of sexual violence [...]

    21. This is one of the craziest story I've ever read! I mean, totally nutcase, literally! I can never imagine myself thinking of something like this. It was like watching Dexter or Criminal Minds or something similar like that in a whole brand new level. I LOVE IT!!The artwork itself was AMAZING!! I can't tear my eyes off from staring at Katsuya's face. I read the book for over 20 times already, and each time I always stop to stare at one particular page for 10 or more minutes just to adore the artw [...]

    22. An intense psychological thriller, with a serial killer playing mind games with a psychiatrist. The illustrations are beautiful as the story is dark. These kinds of stories aren't really my thing, but I got caught up in Katsuya's confusion over his reactions to the killer. Is he having nightmares because he's empathizing with the victims? Are they portending future events to come, or are they manifestations of a previous connection with the killer? I hope these answers are revealed soon as the s [...]

    23. Wow. This is a twisted ride through a very hot, though somewhat disturbing, relationship between the two main characters. Not recommended for the faint of heart. If you love guy on guy as wrong as it can get, check this out. Just remember that the story isn't finished at the end of the collected book, and you'll have to seek out guilt/pleasure's website to order the rest of the chapters! But it's worth it to get to the climax of this story!

    24. Like ohmygod I can give this five stars just because of Jo's amazing artwork! The sole reason I want to read this is because its amazing artwork anyway, but the story its self is very good, dark and intriguing.

    25. This story is hella dark and beautifully twisted. Def not for the faint of heart, but one of my faves.

    26. Delightfully creepy. Nothing half-assed about this. No "he might still be a good guy" or anything. And what a cliff-hanger!
