    1. When I decided to read this, I expected a testosterone laden, weapons heavy, nonstop action book about spies, special forces types, with lots of gunshots, car chases and various forms of daring do. They were all in this book, too, but I got blindsided because what I *got* was a very good, and very disturbing book. This is the story of a country: a land that has been devastated from without and brutalized from within in ways that anyone who has never lived there can barely comprehend. There are no [...]

    2. Good read and action enough to hold youThis book kept me hooked ,not many reads catch me off guard so this was a fun read on many levels for me. Since never serving in the military and never have visited Afghanistan my personal knowledge of either is very limited but yet felt as I read this work of fiction for a moment like I Had in some way and to me that is the mark of a Good read.

    3. Excellent bookI really enjoyed reading about Afghanistan and the Muslim religion. Stoner and Greg were quite a team. Young Ahmad was a good son and help to bring the man to justice four killing his father. An excellent author who I will continue to read his books.

    4. Great actionGreat action and adventure like the main character can't wait to read the next book in the series. The book flowed well no slow spots.

    5. Lleno de acción y personajes interesantes aunque algo estereotipados. Las situaciones a veces parecen algo inverosímiles, pero se deja leer.

    6. JkWow once I started this book, I read from start to finishEric is a great writer. Hi look forward to more books by him

    7. Good story line. There was gaps in the story where I thought there could've been more explanation or more story to it. Grammar was horrible.

    8. Great story, terrific action, loaded with twists and turns. Stoner is our latest hero, a former Navy SEAL living in Afghanistan. He has to battle opium drug traffickers, Taliban fighters, and corrupt Muslim Imams. With the help of an Afghan-Russian and an Afghan boy, the trio give the bad guys more trouble than they every expected. Another fun action packed fast read from Mr. Meyer.

    9. A struggleUnfortunately found it a difficult read. Needed further editing ( moved the old SUV to the side of trail and two pages afterwards it's a straddle of trail again) and others. Written as if for a young person, not leaving a obscure thought unstated.

    10. Black Ops Heroes of AfghanistanGood read. First time I've read any of her books. Stoner works hard for gets justice, especially after the death of the girl he loved, died in his arms. it looks like Stoner mashable found love again, We'll see in the next book.
