    1. Campaign 2100 is fun political satire that mocks both sides and lands a little left of center. Hodges takes the absurdities of our current American political system and projects them to an even more absurd extreme in the year 2100, then plops an incredulous alien right into the midst of election season. The book touches a few contemporary political issues, but focuses on futuristic issues like the ethics of full-immersion virtual reality and the politics of first contact.
