    1. 100% Delightful. The tale the grandfather tells the little girl is funny & creative, and the art is appealing and lively. Highly recommended, and definitely not just for classrooms in the southwest. I'm definitely hoping the author wrote or illustrated something else.

    2. I like the Hispanic culture added in the book. My favorite part was when the corn popped in his belly from eating the hot peppers.

    3. The illustrations in this book really bring the story alive. It follows a young girl as her grandfather explains how he got his gray hair, big belly and more. I like the Hispanic culture that is tied into the story. It is humorous, creative and very engaging.

    4. This is a story about a young girl and her Abuelito. In this story, he tells her tales to explain why he has hi wrinkles, gray hair, humped back, etc. Provides a glossary for the spanish terms used in this book as well.

    5. A Hispanic grandfather shares a tall tale about his belly and gray hair. It is a story of him becoming an adult. This would be fun to read and ask students to infer, or question; before, during and after.

    6. This picture book tells the story of a grandfather that is explaining the his granddaughter how he got his grey hair and belly. The hispanic flavor that is woven throughout the story really makes their culture come alive through his tall tales.
