    1. Voyeuristic descriptions of an artist's mind and work combine with historic paintings' themes and playful discussions about the magic of awareness and creativity. The story captivates by recalling lost innocence and wonder--pointing the way to forgotten Edens and the mystery of ordinary life as seen through an artist's eyes. The book was delivered on December 20 and is currently for sale at the website: talkingtotesla, or at independent bookstores. Inquiries from independent bookstores are also w [...]

    2. Talking to Tesla, The Mirror That Is The Door, An Artist’s Dream Journal by Alex BigneyLane Vance review25 January 2009I loved reading, in fact experiencing, Alex Bigney’s Talking to Tesla. For me, the book arrived at just the right time; I was ready for the invitation to re-examine and rediscover my perspectives, to heighten my awareness.Talking to Tesla is not a book to be read once. Almost immediately into my reading, I realized that the book would be best appreciated with dictionaries in [...]

    3. This is an unusual book, one that promotes deep thought and even dreams. its words are magical, creative, inventive. If you are an artist, you need to read this book. It will awaken all the muses. If you are not an artist, you need to read this book because it will inspire you to find a creative spark within your soul, no matter how deep it may be. I am still reading this book, slowly, thoughtfully sucking the marrow from it. It is amazing.

    4. The book is new and innovative. It makes me want to dream and create. Loved it! A must-read in these cynical times.

It's beautiful in parts, and a little too deliberate in others, often with an unnecessary use of italic that I found intellectually insulting. The author has felt the "call" to be an artist. He validates the value of the artist throughout his book.I too believe that our ability to express ourselves and create is one [...]

    6. I just couldn't get into this book. I gave it about 100 pages and still wasn't excited about reading it. Time to move on hoping "The Other Boleyn Girl" will hook me. I could use a good escape.
