    1. Sam longs to stay in bed' perhaps he could read some of his picture books, and maybe he could play with some of his stuffed animals. Pulling the cover over his head, Sam pretends not to hear his mother. But, getting out of bed, he thinks he has a solution.Perhaps his stuffed monkey Timbo would like to go to school. As he places his own clothes on Timbo, he begins to tell Timbo all the great things he will be doing today. Snacks, playtime, circle time where a book is read, and then going grocery [...]

    2. Sam wants to stay home from school and plans to dress his monkey Timbo up to take his place. As he starts to tell Timbo about his day and what to expect and what to do Sam realizes he wants to go to school and plans to take Timbo too! A playful look at the standard adult response of “look at all the fun you’ll be missing” when a young child expresses their desire to stay home. Kids will find this enjoyably illustrated juxtaposition highly convincing.

    3. Sam does not want to go to school, so he plans to send his stuffed monkey, Timbo, instead. While, Sam is teaching Timbo everything he needs to know about school, he realizes how fun it is and decides they both should go. Children can easily relate to how Sam feels. A great read to get children motivated about going to school.

    4. Sam has come up with a plane to send Timbo his stuffed monkey to school in his place. As he is getting Timbo ready for his big day Sam realizes all the fun things he will miss if he doesn't go to school. Sam then decides it would be better if Timbo stayed home and he went to school. A good book to on the first day of school or even when student seem to be growing tired of school. Grades K-3rd.

    5. I would have given it 4 stars, but some of the words weren't quite right; lost in translation I guess since it was a Swiss book originally.

    6. Really cute book that gets kids to think about all the good things about going to a preschool/school situation. Fun to read out loud with beautiful illustrations.
