    1. Dakota's Accidental Friends series was an accidental find for me back in 2008. I stumbled on the first book, The Accidental Werewolf in an airport bookstore. It was the only light and funny book available that might hold my interest for the long flight ahead. While there are things about this series that drive me batty, throughout the four previous installments I have gotten a kick out of seeing how they each handle their "accidental" change and introductions into the world of supernatural(ly ho [...]

    2. I like this author- I also like her quirky style, humor, and her overall story telling style. That said, I could find nothing to like about this book. :(The swearing, oddz spelledz words, and the way that things kept jumping around annoyed me vs entertained me. I think because the plot was so thin and so many information gaps were abundant it just made it into a painful read for me. While it was nice to see previous characters, these new ones are thrown together because. Just because. Couldn't b [...]

    3. Absolutely fabulous, funny book! Full review coming soon!Full review reposted from my Smitten with Reading blog.My Review:I don't usually start out a book review this way, but I think that this book needs my favorite quote first just to give you a feel for the humor in this book:Nina chuckled, giving Katie her infamous devilish grin. "It means you aren't just a werecougar, lady. You're a cougar-cougar. You took stereotyping to a whole 'noter level. You're like one of those 'doesn't look her age' [...]

    4. 3.5 StarsVeterinarian Katie Woods thought she was helping a poor injured cougar but when she accidentally scratches herself on his paw she quickly learns her newest patient is more than what he seems. Soon after Katie's hand turns into a furry paw and she gets a killer new set of teeth. While there is some shock and denial, I think Katie takes in the situation pretty well. It helped that her assistant called OOPS, or out of the closet paranormal support, which is run by Wanda, Marty, Nina and Ca [...]

    5. After stopping to help an injured cougar veterinarian Katie Woods quickly realises that she just brought a ton of trouble into her life when her hand suddenly turns into a paw after being scratched. With a set full of new teeth, Katie goes through all the logical medical reasons for her sudden transformation. Lucky for Katie, the crew of OOPS is on the task. Having been through an accidental turning before, Wanda, Marty, Nina and Casey are on the case. Katie thought that suddenly having a paw wa [...]

    6. Review will be posted atbooks-n-kisses MBER OF HEARTS: 4REVIEW: The last thing that Dr. Woods ever expected to find on her doorstep is a cougar. But when said cougar scratches her strange things start happening. To make matters worse Katie’s lovely assistant has called OOPS for help. What is OOPS you say? You will need to pick up a copy of Accidentally Catty to find out. But in the mean time Dr. Katie Woods just learned that she is a cougar shifter and the person responsible is not only a coug [...]

    7. I am about 30 pages in and would love the author to get to the every-lovin point. She is so concerned about writing with a clever, overeager pseudo-toughass style that I am extremely annoyed. but. still interested because I can tell somewhere under the all "homeslice" street crap posturing there may be an interesting story. I absolute hate Nina and am wondering why she is even allowed around these people if they despise her and are so annoyed by her (and don't hesitate to tell her so)! I hope al [...]

    8. Another fun read from The Accidentals! I'm glad I stuck with this series when it had a less than stellar start - the characters drew me in and continue to make it a really fun series to read. I really enjoyed some of the twists in Accidentally Catty - the girls have started an agency/company/whatever-you-call-it named OOPS for helping accidental paranormals such as themselves and they get a phone call from a vet who has sprouted a paw after helping a cougar and getting scratched. I think Nina is [...]

    9. It's feast or famine for me with this author. I'd recommend this story to people who aren't me and won't start twitching at the split second barely part of the plot comment that apparently homosexuality doesn't exist in the animal kingdom.Um. No.enpedia/wiki/List_of (this is me being nice, I almost just put in every individual gay penguin couple I could find because COME ON, gay penguins).Okay, that bothered me a bit, but honestly the story just kept ALMOST taking off for me. I'm not sure why. I [...]

    10. This is my favorite one so far out of the series. I love the way she tells her stories. My favorite person is Nina I love the way she tells it like she sees it. Can't wait to read the rest.

    11. (Im a spoiler(and 'spoiler' is just an understatement)!!Beware)Finding a cougar on the front porch of your clinic? Okay.Being scratched? Okay.Turning into a cougar? Now thats NOT okay.At least being one comes with pros like perkier boobs and a firmer butt. But it also comes with cons like whiskers. My thoughts? Funny Funny.I love how the age difference brings name calling like 'The Kid'.And how Katie can read minds of pets.Who knew pets cuss too?Ending: All the couples are together and happy.Ever [...]

    12. Characters - 5.0Story(s) - 4.5Narration - 2.5Overall - 4.0Another great story in the Accidentals series! This book gave the first book a run for it's money when it came to my favorite out of the stories I've read so far. I can't wait for the next! My only issues is with the narrator, I still feel she sucks (and this was her worst performance). Unfortunately, my library only has this series in audiobook. *grumblegrumble* So I just need to suck it up and keep giving a 5 star series a 4 star rating [...]

    13. I ended up really liking this book. So why did I give it three stars? Simple it took me 150 pages to even begin liking it. The first 50 pages are slow, repetitive, and never actually get you anywhere. The next 100 are again, slow, but the plot does progress. It's after that that the story truly picks up This book is the definition of chick lit tho. Could it fall in to paranormal romance? Yes, but not as much as chick lit.

    14. I had to mark this as a DNF because well1) there were a lot of references I didn't understand soI just didn't enjoy it as much as I could've. 2) I'll probably enjoy something like this when I'm older. Just not now. Yeah. was ok though just not my cup of tea at this moment in time.

    15. This author is a fun read, the “OOOPS family” is always a great laugh. I picked up this series blindly for a filler series while waiting for a book to come out and so far have not been disappointed!

    16. Another great one from Dakota Cassidy’s Accidental series! If you love the paranormal and a good laugh, these books are for you!

    17. I don't know if it is the actual books or just the narration, but I really can't stand this series. It's like a train wreck and I cannot look away.

    18. I couldn't get past the first chapter. That Nina character is just too annoying and offensive to persist.

    20. I started this one a little while ago and had to put it to the side because I was really not liking it. But then, after encouragement from some other readers who enjoyed other books in Cassidy's Accidental Friends series, I picked it up again. And, I have to admit, I rather liked it.Katie is a fun character. A little older than many of the heroines in my books, she loves animals and is willing to do just about anything to help them, including "liberating" an injured one from a local animal sanct [...]

    21. I'll admit it. Yes, I do read romances. I know what you're thinking. They're trashy, formulaic and completely lacking in any literary value. Well, that's sometimes true. And I've definitely read a few like that, but Accidentally Catty (and by association the rest of the series), is not. To my credit, I am fairly discerning when it comes to romances. At least, most of the time. It's like horror movies. Yes, I like the CG blockbusters, but occasionally, you just have to watch those terrible no nam [...]

    22. Review from Backchatting BooksKatie Woods is your average veterinarian until she gets scratched by an injured cougar named Sparky. Katie locks the animal in a cage but is more than slightly disturbed when she goes to check on him and finds a naked man in his place. He can’t explain what the heck has happened to him as he has amnesia and that’s the least of her worries as her hands have somehow turned into paws. Luckily Out in the Open Paranormal Support (OOPS) is there to help. Katie escaped [...]

    23. Katie has moved back home to live with her aunt starting her own veterinary practice but the locals don’t trust her. When leaving work one night an unconscious cougar outside they assume is from the exotic animal attraction down the road. They get him in a cage only to find in the morning that the cougar is gone left behind an attractive man way too young for her but that’s the least of her problems. Katie was scratched by the cougar and is starting to show symptoms of being something else p [...]

It is such a fun, light Paranormal Read. This is one of those series, that without fail, will make me laugh out loud and have water coming out of my nose (aka the induction into The Snort Club-my special [...]

    25. Accidentally Catty is the fifth book in the Accidental series by Cassandra Cassidy. These books are fun paranormal romances, not too heavy, with a good dose of humor. The first three books focused on a group of friends (Marty, Nina and Wanda) and how they each entered the paranormal community. As one can guess from the series title, it’s not always a planned event! Book four focused on Wanda’s sister, Casey. The four ladies decided to create OOPS, an organization dedicated to helping others [...]

    26. Accidentally Catty brings the whole gang back together, meaning Marty, Wanda, Nina, Casey and now introducing Katie. Katie is a Vet in a small town, where she encounters a large "cat" on her porch one morning. Little does she know that this "cat" is a were-cougar, while trying to help the injured "cat" Katie gets scratch and starts feeling odd and sickly almost instantly. This is where OOPS comes in to save the day " Out in the Open Paranormal Support" where the girls try to help anyone with par [...]

    27. I like this series, somewhat predictable as each book follows a formula, but for the most part the kookiness of the characters make up for that. The only time I get tired of things when I am reading these are when Nina starts to go off on one of her rants, with swear words flying like snow flakes in a blizzard. A little of Nina goes a long way and if it wasn't for her secret nice side I would skip over parts with her. With this book our 4 previous heroines have decided to band together creating a [...]
